Grown-ups, are you looking for a way to capture your creativity? Practicing daily creativity keeps you inspired, encourages resilience, and gives you a chance to think outside the box. Please join Anne Meyers, adult services librarian and compulsive crafter, for a series that will stretch your creative muscles and introduce you to the art of felting with wool! You will be introduced to the fundamentals of needle felting, which is used to create both three dimensional sculpted items and flat decorative pieces, as well as to embellish other wool items such as felted purses, hats, or ornaments. Once you know the basics, it’s easy to run with it!
All Q&A sessions will be held virtually using videoconferencing. Anne will provide an overview of the craft, share tips & tricks, answer any questions, and offer inspiration and resources! Feel free to attend, whether you’ve already unpacked your kit or not!
There will be a small materials fee of $8.00 per kit, payable by check or exact cash upon pickup, and wool refills in a variety of colors will be available through the fall for an additional $5.00 each.
Kit #2) Needle Felted Pumpkins & Leaves available for pickup October 9th. The Virtual Q & A will be held on Wednesday Oct 14th from 7-8pm: come share and ask questions!
ALL items needed ARE included in the kit*.
*If you have already completed the first kit, the cookie cutter ornament, you will only need a wool refill; materials available for $5.00 instead of $8.00 for the entire kit.
If, after giving needle felting a dry-try, you are still curious, sign up for the wet felting kits available in November and December! Learn how to make a beaded decorative garland or felted soaps for homemade holiday gift-giving...stay tuned for more details!
