Virtual Program Bessie's Story: Watching the Lights Go Out

The Hooksett Library is pleased to present Bessie's Story, told LIVE in a virtual Zoom event with author Tom Farmen. Bessie's Story: Watching the Lights Go Out is an inspiring story about a charming, brave chocolate lab who gradually loses her eyesight. As Tom tells us of the journey from the unexpected diagnosis of terminal blindness for his beloved four-year old pet through the two-and-a-half year transition to sightlessness, he shows us how Bessie unwittingly becomes an expert mentor and teacher for the high-wire act of growing older with grace and optimism.

As we all work to cope the best we can with what 2020 has handed us, stories of resilence and hope can be the balm we are looking for! Plus, it's a story about a beautiful canine friend, and there's nothing as loyal or lovely as that!

This is a heart-warming LIVE program you don't want to miss, so please join us by registering online or by calling the library at 485-6092. A Zoom link will be sent to registered participants prior to the program, and all are welcome to join us!
